Cristina Carlos, MPH/CLE

MAster of Public HEalth, certified lactation educator, health coach

Cristina is a third generation Angelino and a second generation Mexican American (Chicana); born in the east side of Los Angeles. She received her master’s degree in International Health from Tulane University, emphasizing in population and reproductive studies.  As a health educator and mother of two, Cristina’s passion for healthy pregnancy, natural childbirth and breastfeeding success, has taken new direction. 

Janine Souffront, RD/CDE

Registered DIETITIAN, Certified Diabetes Educator 

 

Janine came to Los Angeles after graduating from the University of Puerto Rico. She has dedicated her life to promoting healthy eating and effective diabetes management among the Latino communities in Los Angeles. She is passionate about gestational diabetes, diabetes prevention and integrating the Promotoras de Salud model into programs. Patients describe her as caring, practical and realistic in her advice.

Teresa Ortiz, FnP/IBCLC
Family Nurse practitioner, International Board Certified LActation Consultant

Teresa was born in Mexico but has spent most of her professional life in the United States. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner fervently dedicated to women’s health and to help mother and baby breastfeed successfully. As our breastfeeding consultant, Teresa brings an immense wealth of knowledge and experience. 

Patricia Murphy, CLE/Doula

Certified LActation Educator, Certified postpartum doula, newborn care specialist

Patricia was born in Columbia where she studied Social Work. She came to Los Angeles for adventure and stayed to live her life among the Angelenos. She adores babies and is devoted to helping women during pregnancy and the post-partum period of their lives. Patricia is also a CPR instructor, certified childbirth and breastfeeding educator, and an Echo Parenting Educator.

Maria Lozano, LCSW/CLE

Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified LActation Educator

María G. Lozano is a Bilingual (Spanish/English) therapist that focuses on providing support and empowering new and parenting birthing persons through their transition into parenthood. Maria integrates mindfulness-based practices, trauma informed care, movement, and art therapy. Maria has 20 years experience working Los Ángeles County providing support to teen parenting/pregnant families to families managing and transitioning through trauma, grief, and recovery.
